About The Lighting Guy

Although the company is owned by a woman... me, Kimberly Reynolds... the one that creates all the magic and trains everyone that works for me is David Reynolds.

He began his career at 14 - Lighting his first professional stage play! He actively persued Theatrical Lighting Design at community theatre, high school theatre and then when he graduated he began touring the country with various different acts. You can read more about that in his biography.

When he was home from a tour for a few months, he was asked to do Lighting for some high end Weddings, Corporate Events and some Private Parties here in Michigan.

I would go along and help him here and there. When I saw the magic he created with his lighting talents... a light bulb went on in my head... I thought "Every Bride Would Want This!". 

The Lighting Guy is a Wedding & Event Lighting Design company. We work with the client, learning their vision, and creating a lighting experience to bring it to life.

We design the lighting, provide the equipment and implement the design.

Our company is based on the belief that artistry comes first. If it isn't going to look right and well done, we don't do it. We don't 'yes' our clients, we educate them.

As a result, a high percentage of our business is from referrals.
